Our School

 ST. ANDREWS CONSOLIDATED SCHOOL

St. Andrews Consolidated School is located in the picturesque village of St. Andrews, Antigonish County, Nova Scotia.

Our school is a Primary to Grade Six facility with a student enrollment of 260 for the 2017-2018 school year.  We would like to send a warm welcome to our new students from our neighbouring community of Heatherton and surrounding areas. Our school staff is dedicated to educating students to be life-long learners, respectful of self and others, technologically literate, effective problem solvers and communicators. Our mission is to optimize the learning opportunities for the whole learner and for all learners.   We believe in the facilitation of education for all children by making necessary accommodations for students' strengths and needs to ultimately increase achievement.

Our school is proud to reflect the Celtic heritage of our community by offering a Core Gaelic language instructional program to students in Grades Four to Six as an alternative to the regular Core French.   An after-school program is open to students from Grades Primary to Six and offers all students the opportunity to benefit from instruction in Gaelic language and culture. We also celebrate many cultures in our community including our African Nova Scotian, Mi'kmaq and Dutch families through classroom and school events.

A warm welcome from the students and staff of St. Andrews Consolidated School.
